+ E+R Engineering Apprenticeships & Engineering Careers

Welcome to Engineering Careers & Apprenticeships at E+R. Our team are key to our ongoing success and we are committed to the development, training and support of our workforce.

Agencies
Our recruitment process is focused on resourcing highly experienced candidates through our own advertising and industry connections. We do not accept applications for vacancies from agencies or CVs from agencies on a speculative basis. If we do need the support of specialist recruitment consultants our HR manager will contact them directly.

+ Engineering apprenticeship scheme for funded training and fast career progress

Our fully-funded apprenticeship scheme lasts four years and involves members obtaining qualifications tailored to their posts. These can include City & Guilds accreditations, Higher National Certificates and Diplomas, plus the BTEC qualifications overseen by the Business & Technology Education Council.

  • Apprentices spend an initial year attending Burnley College or Blackburn-based provider Training 2000, part of the University of Central Lancashire, full-time. They then spend a similar period combining their work with day-release study and two years undergoing on-the-job training.
  • We offer apprenticeships across our engineering operations, including mechanical fitting, electrical fitting and machining. We are exploring extending into other areas such as project management and human resources.
  • At E+R we also offer two-year advanced apprenticeships, generally regarded as equivalent to two A-levels, to recruits with at least five GCSE passes at the required grades.

If you want to be part of a team working with market-leading technologies please send your current CV to HR@eandr.com
